PBS provide play resources for Ainthorpe Primary

PBS has teamed up with Ainthorpe Primary School to help create some fun new resources for the Foundation Stage play area.

The school wanted to create the resources using upcycled materials and PBS was more than happy to help, donating wood, pallets, bricks and plastic piping. Company joiner, Ian, then worked his magic with the materials to turn them into a stage, weighing scales and some tyre planters and fencing for a small planting area.

Children at the school are now enjoying the new creations and Shane Davy, Head Teacher at Ainthorpe Primary, said:

“We are ever so grateful to PBS for their help and support. Their donations and the brilliant work from Ian has provided our children with some amazing new resources for our children to enjoy. The new equipment has really enhanced what we can offer our children.

“They are thoroughly enjoying performing on the stage as well as already seeing the plants grow in our new garden. Thank you so much to the staff at PBS.”

Glenn Smurthwaite, Managing Director at PBS, added:

“We were delighted to be able to support the school with such a nice idea. They wanted to add some new items to the play area using upcycled materials and we’re lucky that we were in a position to help with providing those.

“It was then just a case of our joiner, Ian, going along and putting everything together. As a company we really enjoy making a difference where we can and hopefully the children at Ainthorpe will have many happy hours with the new play area resources.”
